U11G WHU Panthers won Silver & Bronze

Our U11G Panthers had a very successful run in the last couple of weeks, here is what they achieve:

Last weekend the U11G Panthers went up to Edmonton and participated in the FC Memorial Challenge.

It was a 7v7 tournament and the girls battled hard to the end of every game. Their effort was rewarded by taking home the silver.

Not to mention a fun afternoon at West Edmonton Mall.

They won Bronze medal at Okotoks a couple of weeks ago too.

Great work team !! West Hills United soccer community is so proud of you 🙂

WHU teams in Okotoks tournament

Our U13G Tier 2 Warriors came out with a deserving GOLD at the Okotoks Anthem United Communities Cup tournament in January.  The games were hard fought and the gold medal goal was scored with 4 seconds left in the game!  The girls are an amazing team with great chemistry, and are great friends to top it off.  Well done Warriors!

The previous weekend some teams from West Hills United successfully participated in Okotoks Tournament, winning Gold and Bronze medals, here we have some details:

U11G WHU Lions

  • Was part of the U11G Tier 2 group
  • Went through a very competitive qualification round, finishing in second place in their group, winning the chance to play for Bronze, medal that they won after winning a very close game 1-0 against Rangers 07 team.

U11G WHU Panthers

  • Was part of the U11G Tier 3 group
  • After a rough start against the team who won the tournament, Panthers handled to finish in second place in their group; in the Bronze medal game they beat Airdrie FC Aztecs 3-2 to bring the medal home.

U13G WHU Warriors

  • Played in U13G tier 2 group
  • With some very even qualy games, Warriors manage to earn the chance to play the final. In this game they did beat Airdrie 06 with a buzzer beater goal, with 4 seconds remaining in the game, winning the Gold medal.

U15G Inferno

  • Played in U15G tier 2 group
  • Inferno also manages to finish second in their group, after 3 really though games; having the opportunity to play for the third place. Unfortunately, despite a great effort and good game they lost against a very strong Spruce Grove team.

U17G Extreme

  • Played in the U17G tier 2
  • Our team faced teams that were Tier 1 or 2, having a very valuable chance to challenge themselves playing against teams above their level. They manage to compete in some parts of the games.
