Just in time to fill your wine cellar for the holidays!
What is it?
Only the best fundraising idea ever! We raise money for the Mikayla Stephen Player Assistance Program and the winning teams win a ton of wine.
How does it work?
Each person you recruit will be a member of a 6-person team. Each member of the team donates $20 to participate and donates a $15-20 bottle of red or white wine (if you prefer – collect $35-40 and buy the wine for the people in your team that are too busy for that – please note that most people, for some reason prefer white but buy red, please buy the type of wine you prefer). Starting on Nov 16th individual names will be eliminated, but as long as one team member is still in the draw, your team is safe. Once all six names have been pulled, the team is eliminated. Within 7 days, everyone will be eliminated, but the final teams. Once we know how many teams are entered, we will know how many teams will be left for prizes. The final draw will happen at the West Hills United Soccer Club AGM on November 23rd.
Prizes will be dependent on how many teams are entered. Our goal is to have 45 teams and if we meet that goal – teams 1 through 10 will win anywhere from 1 bottle of wine to as much as 20 bottles of wine per team member. In addition, we are hoping to raise $5000 or more for the Mikayla Stephen Player Assistance Program.
The captain is responsible for tracking all their sign ups and collecting the wine and $20. If some people on your team just give you $$ please buy the right amount of wine for them. If you end up with extra people that do not form full teams – no worries we will bundle up teams for you. Registration deadline is Nov 15th.
